Winter is currently determining the weather, and this will remain mostly unchanged until Saturday. After the passage of a cold front overnight, we will be affected on Friday and during the night into Saturday in very cold and moderately moist northwesterly barrier effects. Denser clouds and some snow showers will continue to accumulate, particularly along the mountains and in typical areas affected by northwesterly accumulations. However, especially in the inner alpine areas and above the valleys, the clouds will repeatedly clear, making way for some sunshine. By Saturday morning, the last snowflakes will move out, and the sky will become increasingly cloudless for a time. Polar cold air will still dominate the weather. Only later on Saturday afternoon will new, harmless, and mostly high-altitude cloud fields signal a significant change in air masses. By Monday, with plenty of sunshine, the frost line will rise to around 3500 meters above sea level. Winter will temporarily retreat to the north. By Tuesday, however, a weak cold front may bring another slight cooling and some precipitation.
