21 Winterwanderweg Mittelschule Paznaun – Nederle

The flat path from the Paznaun middle school to Nederle is perfect for a leisurely stroll through Kappl’s winter scenery. Starting at the school in the hamlet of Lochau, you walk upstream along the Trisanna, passing the Kappl cable car. You then pass through the hamlets of Höferau and Sinsner Au, until you reach Nederle after the Hotel Höllroah.

You can easily return to Kappl village by bus, or you can choose to walk back as well.

 

The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

From the secondary school in the hamlet of Lochau, keep heading into the valley along Trisanna stream until passing the Kappl cable cars. Then walk through the districts of Höferau, Sinsner Au to finally reach the hamlet of Nederle after Hotel Höllroah.

Getting back to Kappl village is easy by bus. Those who want can also hike back the same way.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Mittelschule
