On 30 March 2024, the legendary "Watersurf Contest" in the Paznaun ski resort of See will send daredevils on skis, snowboards or in specially constructed vehicles to compete over a 15-metre-long ice water course. Prize money 2,000 Euro. Ice water-crazy competitors and cheering spectators are expressly welcome. Another highlight: at the Easter party on 1 April, the "Pfunds-Kerle" and the "Grenzgänger Sound" provide a party atmosphere in the ski area.

The profile of participants required: swimming skills, a penchant for craziness, courage, creativity and absolute fearlessness in the face of icy waters. Anyone who meets all the requirements can take part in "Surf & Snow" on 30 March 2024 with skis, a snowboard or self-made "crazy vehicles", such as UFOs or pirate ships, and try their luck. As soon as the starting signal is given, the aim is to cross the 2.5 metre deep and 15 metre long ice water pit and stay dry. The rules are simple: if you take a dip, you're out cold. Whoever surfs the longest dry over the icy water wins. With each run, the run-up on the piste gets shorter until the last person is floating in the water. The best in each class receives a share of the 1,000 euro prize money. The remaining 1,000 euros will be awarded by the jury for the most creative and unusual "Crazy Vehicles". Spectators can train their laughing muscles free of charge on site and cheer loudly for their favourites. Party atmosphere with "cool" sunset beats until 6 pm included. The ice water spectacle starts on 30 March 2024 at 11 am on the Medrigalm. Entry fee: 10 euros per participant. Registration is possible until the start of the event. Info: www.see.at

Easter party with live acts in the ski area

No April fool's joke! On 1 April 2024, two rousing live bands will create a party atmosphere in the ski area at the Medrigjochbahn middle station in See. At 2 pm, the stage will be cleared for the Grenzgänger Sound from the Zillertal, who will be armed with guitars, keyboards and a Styrian harmonica to perform groovy folk music, rock ́n roll, hits and current charts. The two live concerts take place whatever the weather. Admission is free with a valid ski pass. All information: www.see.at
