Intro
Medium-difficulty bike tour from See Medrigjochbahn to the Ascherhütte and back to the valley again
Description
A strenuous route from the valley bottom to the mountains, rewarded with magnificent views. The route follows a short stretch along the main road towards Ischgl before turning off to the left and continuing along an asphalt track uphill to the districts of Klaus and Maierhof. The forest road starts out from the last houses and follows a gentle incline and twists and turns through the forests. After a little over 8 km, you come the mountain station of the Medrigjochbahn cable car at the Medrigalm lodge. A forest trail then runs along the ski pistes, partly along steeper sections up to the mountain station for the Zeinisbahn chairlift. This is followed by a longer and flatter section with a short final ascent to the Ascherhütte lodge. Magnificent panoramic views open up here, surrounded by the mountain peaks and are best savoured with a refreshment on the sun terrace.

The return journey follows the same route to the Medrigalm lodge and from here follows the toboggan route track back down to See.

Arrival
The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.
Parking
Free parking at the Medrigjochbahn valley station in See
Public transport
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: See Dorf/Bergbahn
