The starting point of this winter hike is along the Smuggler's Tour at Alp Trida. The name "Alp Trida" means "desolate alp" in Romansh, but in winter, the rocks that inspired the name are hidden beneath thick snow. From the Skihaus Alp Trida restaurant, the path leads 200 meters up along piste 68b and then gently ascends to Alp Bella at 2,380 m.
