"Culinary Paznaun" brings high enjoyment to the high mountains

The "Culinary Paznaun" series of events invites you to actively savour food during the mountain summer. On the programme: seven special gourmet dishes at seven mountain lodges throughout the summer, created by top chefs from Paznaun who skilfully showcase the valley's regional products, seven hut festivals and a gourmet market in Ischgl as a festive prelude. Event period: 5 July to 1 September 2024.

New name, proven concept: from summer 2024, the "Culinary Way of St. James" will be called "Culinary Paznaun" and will entice guests to explore one of Austria's most diverse hiking and biking regions. Seven top chefs from Paznaun provide rewarding "culinary delights", each creating a special gourmet dish from regional products in cooperation with a mountain lodge and putting it on their menu at affordable mountain lodge prices. Whether on foot or on electric power - the mountain lodges are located in such a way that mountain holidaymakers can explore this year's seven top chef creations on relaxed hikes, as part of a half-day or full-day tour or even as part of a glacier safari from Galtür, experience them on an (e-)bike or combine them with climbing gardens within walking distance of the lodge and cross trails. If you take the direct route from the valley to the mountain lodge, it takes a maximum of two and a half hours to hike to each lodge.

During the course of the event series, the seven hut festivals, at which the respective hut host presents his gourmet hut dish together with his chef mentor from the valley, provide moments of enjoyment accompanied by music. Indulgence tip: If you come to the Ischgl gourmet market on 5 July for the start of the "Culinary Paznaun" event series, you can taste all seven dishes on site and get to know the participating Paznaun top chefs and hut hosts.
