Ischgl - Tour 16: Val Gronda

The cable car takes you to Idalp mountain station to around 2,320 metres altitude. From here you can either walk or take the chair lift to Idjoch. Then follow the hiking trail to Greitspitze (2,871 m). The hike continues along theAustrian-Swiss border, past Inner Viderjoch, until you reach Salaaser Kopf (2,744 m). The view to the Fluchthörnern, which forms the end of the valley, is impressive. Continue hiking on the old ski path - Alten Skiweg - past the custom's lodge to Zeblasjoch(2,539m). From there the route continues to Heidelbergerlodge. Return section: Through Fimbatal, or return transport via lodge taxi at Heidelberger lodge: rice on request.

The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Ischgl Silvrettabahn
