Each summer, the Paznaun High Route attracts numerous trail runners and long-distance hikers. Once a year, the 130-kilometre route transforms into the racecourse for the Paznaun Ischgl Ultra Trail (PIUT). The stages, leading from See through Kappl and Galtür to Ischgl, offer variety – some are short and relaxed, others long and challenging. This diversity is also reflected in the PIUT routes:
- PIUT 20: covering a total distance of 20 km and 1,300 vertical metres
- PIUT 30: covering a total distance of 30 km and 2,500 vertical metres
- PIUT 50: covering a total distance of 50 km and 3,100 vertical metres
- PIUT 85: covering a total distance of 85 km and a whopping 5,200 vertical metres
- PIUT 85: covering a total distance of 100 km and a whopping 6,300 vertical metres
Our tip: As the perfect preparation for the running event, we recommend participating in the PIUT Camp. It helps you to improve your trail running skills and gives you access to numerous great expert tips.
